MACBETH & LADY MACBETH ACTING COMPETITION
AT THE MARYLAND RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
As part of the Festival's Shakespeare Celebration Weekend and in honor of the 1000th birthday of Macbeth, the Festival is holding an acting competition on Saturday, October 15th at 2:30pm at our Gatehouse Stage. We invite actors and actresses from the Baltimore/Washington area (open to AEA or non-union) to trod the boards and give us their best 30 seconds of either Macbeth or Lady M. The winner receives prizes and a check for $100.
Competition is limited to 20 actors. For consideration, send in your headshot & resume and contact information, along with the piece you?ll be doing. You will be notified by October 7th if you are chosen to participate. Actors must be available for Saturday, October 15th. Actors must be over the age of 21. All monologues must be memorized.
