fucking politics!!
ok.. so after reading my friend's pages on LJ, i cannot insist enough about how glad i am that i'm NOT in malta this weekend.
I can't believe what a grip it has on everyone... including me if i was there of course!! Maaa!! WHEN will the Maltese ever learn??? when will the politicians stop treating the population like idiots?
Although i still insist that, especially in Malta, Politicians are desperate to keep a large proportion of the population uneducated and ignorant, as people with little or no education are so much easier to control and brainwash. Sorry, but that's the way i see it.
I see the same in many 3rd world countries, and to be honest that's what I believe makes malta not a 1st world country. I'm not saying it's a 3rd world place.. but; yeah... we are treated like it by our government, regardless of who's in power.
On another note, i can't wait for chemical brothers/digweed/chicks on speed/sven vath this weekend :D Although my students are getting ACCESS ALL AREAS passes and i've got to make do with a general admission pass. meh! hehehhe...
Just a note, i know that everyone's probably going to vote exactly as their parents did, and their parents before that, but remember this:
A Bi-partisan government will NEVER work. There needs to be at least 3 or 4 members of parliament who can sway with what the people really want in a situation.
And no matter what, if you vote for the economy, you are voting AGAINST the planet.
