crappy week

to sum it up: got a ticket on Friday for parking where I have been parking all along because I didn't know they had closed the lot (there was nothing saying the lot was closed, people were still parked there, and I had not been on the call list to be notified to stop parking there), then Monday I was told all if that plus told that I had to park out on the main street on the edge of the hospital campus, which A is difficult to find parking on, and B the hours of legal parking there are much shorter than my work hours. so basically I would have been in danger of getting a ticket every day I was at work because they would not let me park in the employee lot since I work for a staffing company, not the actual lab. I had to go move my car there and it was sleeting when I walked back, which took me about 20 minutes for the walk, then extra time to get down to my locker and put my coat away, and I'd had to sludge through snow and ice and mud to get from my car to the sidewalk, so I was really wishing I had taken my boots that day.
I took them Tuesday, when it was still sleeting when I got to work, which meant I had a big bag with my work shoes, lunchbag, and coffee in it that fell with me when I fell on the ice walking up to the hospital from my car. luckily, the coffee did not get in my shoes. I ended up 15 minutes late for work, between trying to find a parking place and falling.
so I decided I was going out after work. I went to see Oz. loved it! forgot that I never drink pop anymore. even when I drink coffee, it's 3/5 decaf and 2/5 caffeinated, and has a lot of milk and some flavored creamer in it. when I make tea, it's usually two bags of decaf cold brew plus one bag of an herbal flavored tea. no sugar. no caffeine. I got a gigantic cherry coke at the movie, and a large popcorn with butter and salt (another thing I rarely have). I woke up throwing up yesterday and had to call in sick. no more cherry coke at the movies for me.
I did have a fever last night, though, so part of it may have had something to do with spending a lot of time outside getting pelted with sleet. idk. I do know that I have to go to work today, so I had better quit writing and post this if I can get a connection...
