Ft Island showcase in Manila... and hmmm...
I think I got my 2nd Korean fandom.... I can't help it. BOYS + instruments = ♥
This report is kinda late cause I bum myself playing magic vines for I think 4 hrs before I was able to think properly and get all sober from what I have watched the last night and what I am rewatching with the fancams I got.
I must forwarn those who are reading that this report may contain incoherent ramblings most of which will focus on how felt before, during and after the concert. I think less on how the boys look (but they do look so good) cause I wasn't in the front with the best view.
What I am going through right now is the path I knew and have gone through when I was getting into eito fandom but I think at a more hmm... convincing way cause I saw them perform live. I just knew I fell in love with them when I first saw them perform and the energy they got starting with the their first song the ft island song to the last song primadonna. I will admit right now that I am a new fan. I don't really know half of the songs they sang... well to be exact I just knew Balae and Still and the rest I went to search before I wrote this report.
So yesterday I was all excited to see the boys especially Hongki but in the end I was late going to the meeting place my friend who was going with me agreed upon. LOL. I was still bumming around the comp the whole time after waking up at noon and yes I am good at that. Ahahaha.
On the way to the concert, my friend asked me if I know the songs they will perform and I honestly told her I don't (well except for Balae and Still) but I am truly excited. All I have in my mind was I would see Hongki in person finally (that blond hottie)! LOL. Well honestly it was a dream come true for me. Cause being a fangirl of JE for the past years I doubt that I would see the JE guys in flesh in my country and even in my dreams (and I am serious when I say I don't see them in my dreams cause I sleep a dreamless night most of the time). So it was truly special that finally I got to see someone I really liked even from the distance I saw Hongki.
When we got into the venue there were several lines we have to go through before arrived inside the actual hall. I dunno I wasn't really impatient or bored when we have to go through the line and wait cause I was amused with my surroundings and the how everyone looked happy in anticipation that they were finally gonna be seeing the boys in person. As I write this, I think my excitement pales when compared to everyone around me. I had this thought during this time that I knew would be more hyper if its NEWS or eito. But my... now I feel stupid with the lack of enthusiam. When we into the hall it was small and well the stage is not that near but its also not that far. I can see everything thats going on the stage plus there were 3 huge screens where we can watch the boys. While waiting we cam whore a bit taking pics and well preparing to video the whole con using my phone (which I did and got 1 gbs worth of vid. LOL).
First thing before the concert there were raffle draws, smartbro plug its (for netsurfing in the phils), gift certificates and 20 signed albums). Grace Lee, a tv host and a Korean (but I srsly I didn't know she was Korean cause I thought all a long that she was FilChinese), thought the audience a greeting that eventually all will fail in saying. LOL. She also commented that she hasn't attended any event were there was so many people screaming the way the audience did and the happiness/disappointment on everyone's faces when they get the stickers or not like their life depended on it. btw, those stickers were the way to determine who will get the signed albums.
The concert proper.
It started with a video (using missing you as the background song) showing lots of pictures of the fanmeetingthe day before with 50 lucky fans. Wee~ the boys looks good and I thought the 50 fans were so lucky!
After the video, the lights when on and OMG... the BOYS FINALLY ENTERED! The whole hall erupted with screams and well I kinda screamed also. Ahahaha! Then they started. OMG! as I said I immediately fell in love with the group cause I knew they cannot fake how they played. Hongki's voice was so clear and loud and I liked how he sounded. HOW CAN SOMEONE SO CUTE HAVE THAT POWERFUL MAN'S VOICE?! I still wonder where that heavenly manly voice came from. Some of the fan accounts I read through esp those who were lucky to be at the front rows said that Hongki might be a little sick during the whole show cause he is coughing every after perf and well from my view his is drinking water every now and then. Basically they sang 10 songs (including one encore song Primadonna). I love Hongki's energy throughout the whole thing being bouncy, flaily and basically with my eye of biased view very cutesy! He point out the mic to the audience once in a while to let them sing. I dunno if it pertains to all Kpop fandom but Big Bang and Ft island has this song that has their group's name in it. LOL.
The 2nd song, it was so cute! Everyone I think sang a part or two and Hongki introducing each member. 3rd song sound cheerful to me. I love how Hongki sways to the song. LOL. again he was very cute! See all eyes I got was for Hongki-centric I must admit. After the 3 songs, Grace Lee came out the greeted the boys. She is like "wow~ now I know why you love them! they are all handsome now I am loving my job!" Conceited biatch but I think everyone in the audience would want to be in her place cause she is standing right beside Hongki, touching a bit and well talking fast in Korean with them. Hongki also never thought she was Korean and thing was some fan pics shows Hongki checking on her. LOL. I am not jealous just saying. Ahahahaha *bricks*
Anyways, like I said we fail great them and Hongki was like saying "whut?!" cause the start of the greeting was ok but going in the middle of it everyone starts saying things their way. Ahahaha. so Grace kinda explained and all. Then afterwards, she asked the boys what they first look in a girl. I LOLed at Hongki and JongHyun are so definitely a man cause they look at the breast first without the hintof embarassment. Ahahaha! Minhwan and Seung Hyun werre so boyish and just adorable saying they'd look first in a woman's eyes. And Grace sided commented that Filipinas have beautiful eyes. Way to go to get the screams louder. Finally Jae Jin answer was "SHEXY"! Ahaha! Curves baby! Basically the whole MC part was full of screams and Grace once in a while scold the audience cause the boys can't answer properly cause when ever they speak the audience will scream. Hongki was also being helpful and saying "shhh~!" to the audience and well the screams would die a bit. Ahehehe.
Next songs, were sad songs but well beautifully sang. Raining especially caught me cause it was a Japanese song. I was hoping that they would sing at least one song in Jap and they did not fail me. I just knew the song was sand and about the Rain, I was like "Ame = rain = sad" and the melody is kind of sad. But I knew the song hooked me more and I had a mental note to look the song up. I also thought the song was popular cause the audience joined in singing it.
After the sad songs another upbeat song, that the only thing I can undestand was "Baby" ahehehe. but it was a good song. another metal note to look it up. Next up. Balae and Still! I love the songs the first time I heard them and seeing the cute vids(in Still they used the You're Beautiful cut) makes it more recognizeable to my ears and eyes. This time Hongki lets the audience sang the chorus of song (for both song) and they didn't fail him! It was a high time! also on Still Hongki was being playful and again said "Jollie!" at the end! I know I KYA! again cause it was so cute! Ahahaha! Afterwards I think Seung Hyun imitated the way Hongki said Jollie! and said "Jeremy!" and eveyone including myself screamed while Hongki went to Seung Hyun's side and I dunno if he whack him or something. LOL. all I can say was they were so playful!
Then, another talk part. Grace intro-ed that there were someone in the group who is celebrating his b-day the day after the con (JongHyun). Also Hongki's b-day was has came days before. People from primadonna phils got them both a cake and the audience sang happy bithday song to both boys in Korean. I kinda wanted to sing but well all I know was the birthday song in english and NEWS' Happy Birthday. LOL. Grace asked for b-day wishes but I can't remember properly what they wished for. Oh! I remember what JongHyun said... "thank you" Ahahaha! After that was thier last song and encore. On the encore song, Hongki borrowed 2 pentasticks and wave it crazy. He was enjoying in what he is doing. Ahahaha! The owners of those pentasticks were so lucky (one of those shared her encounter with the boys from the fanmeet to the showcase). Well I was kinda hoping that people would request a double encore but they didn't. Well I think it was the best if Hongki was a bit sick.
Afterwards we didnt go immediately... we camwhore again, my friend bought a pillow and blanket in one con goods (I got nothing though I also want that pillow cause I didn't bring much cash well JE ea--- ahem... you know. Its hard to be a fangirl *dies*). It was still a bit early than what we expected so we when to a nearby all that was open and eat. starving after the con cause the last I eat around 12 pm and it was past 9pm when the con concluded. My friend and I talked about what happened con and we both agreed that we really did enjoyed it!
With what I had witness last night I would call them epic and I love them. Now I wonder how I would be like if I see my JE boys' concert!? I think I'll go crazy. Ahahahaha. Anyways, I am starting to discover Ft island. I think as I have said it will be my next K-pop fandom. Hmmm.... I think there will also be various of Kpop stars who will visit my country. Next up is Super Junior. Yup it s a definite concert cause they will be performing in one of the large venues in here. I hope there will be a huge turn out of people. *crosses fingers and believes in the suju power* Though I will not be going but I have my friends share with me the happenings of the said event. And lots of fancams! Ahohoho. Big Bang come to the Philippines with 2ne1! Ahahaha! How I wish... but it came true I will be getting the best tickets I could get! :D
