Operation: Get A Life is a go!

Mar 26, 2009 01:26

Man, I've been in Maine for almost four months now. Wait, I was supposed to write about being in Maine after a month. Then two months went by, then three.  I probably should've written about being in Maine in the first place. What was I doing in Maine? Well, a few circumstances converged to move me along up to here.  My sister had just moved here, and didn't really know anyone around here, and could use some help with the rent, so that was one reason for me to be here. Another was my mom's house falling apart and the well drying up and I need showers and had to get out of there. And of course the most important reason is that I had to get a life. :P Staying with my sister for a few months was a chance to move out into the world, but under the guidance of family, but not a parental unit.  Phase one of Operation: Get A Life!

So, now that I'm blogging about being in Maine, I am leaving Maine. Where to? Back home to Philadelphia! I know I was only there for 5 years, but it became home for me, and I've been trying to get back there for just as long, and this is my chance. Fortunately some friends will put up with me for a week, so I've got to hit the ground running and apartment-hunt like crazy to find a place by the first. I can do it. I have to do it!

I get on a bus at 8 AM, and ride to the rest of my life! It's exciting, and scary. Wish me luck!

This is my mantra:
