Don't you miss the old Squaresoft? The one that made new games. The one that existed before The Spirits Within tanked at the box office and they had to sell themselves to Enix.
Who would have thought that Enix would turn Square into a money-printing remake factory?
It's just my luck that a couple of weeks after I finally buy Final Fantasy IV for the GBA (at the semi-clearance price of 16 bucks), Square announces a remake for the DS. It doesn't look absolutely fantastic, but I'll be kicking myself as I buy the fourth frelling version of the game. :( Fortunately, even though I own a PSP, Star Ocean 1 and 2 remakes just don't do much for me, so my wallet feels a little less of a burden. And while Dissidia would normally get me excited, putting it on the PSP kind of annoys me. I'd rather have it on a console.
But the real kicker: after years of inactivity, Square Enix finally gets around to making a Parasite Eve 3,
and they make it for a fancy Japanese cell phone?! Which means we'll never see it here ever. DAMN YOU, SQUARE ENIX!!!! They could've at least put it on the PS3 if they wanted no one to play it.
OSU! As someone that uses both Japanese and western emoticons, I think it's possible to learn the "language"
despite cultural differences. Maybe I've just seen enough manga and anime to be programmed, but I actually think Japanese emoticons like ^_^ and ;_; are more expressive in certain situations, although I've baffled some non-Japanophiles when I've used ^_^ out of habit. Actually, that article reminds me of something I read once, that a clue to tell if someone is genuinely laughing was to check for wrinkles around their eyes. (your mileage may vary)
Are there any words for
the outfits in the Eurovision Song Contest? No, there aren't. This makes American Idol seem so pedestrian. Wait, my bad, Idol is pedestrian. (beat-box boy Blake aside)
Kitties! XD
