I'm writing this now for a lame excuse to -not- write the killer history paper due Tuesday. I've been pounding out pages, each one more painful than the last, for about two and a half hours now. Distractions have just about doubled the time, but there's really no helping that...
Absolutely NO time to write this week. UGH. I -have- been bouncing around a few ideas, though, some supernatural YA stuff that is out of my habit but might be healthy for me now. The Seven Deadly Sisters will always be my constant, fresh ideas just won't leave me alone. Characters seems to stroll into my head, tapping on the glass casing of their zoo cage, impatient as heck. And that impatience translates to my own impatience.
Also, ever since I finished Cinderwood (my shortshortshort novel/novella) I've been itching for a second draft...but a second draft isn't enough. I'd need a major-major rewrite, fixing backstory deserts, flat characters, and confusing setting issues that the entire story is based around. Part of me wants to do the rewrite before I get into the sequel, Midland, but then again, there are so many other things to focus on now...Feb./March are just really busy months. I guess I need to take it easy.
Back to the history paper, which some say sounds too much like a story, and will most likely go way over the word count limit...
