Strange happenings...

This might take a while. To get to the good stuff scroll down to the bottom and click on the link. Not appropriate for lil' kids, and kinda kinky.

College is in full swing, and I'm very disgruntled with many of my classes. But it shall pass. This was the weekend of Anime Iowa that I did not attend. Sad. But there's always next year! ^_^

A very unexpected thing happened Saturday. Dana called before I went to work and said that she was going to give away her doujinshi and if I wanted any.

"Don't touch anything! I'll be right over once I'm done with work!"

Yeah I was excited. Dana has a very nice collection of doujinshi that I have admired and lots of Yu Yu Hakusho djs that I was envious of. *hearts the Kurama*

I got there with a small box and saw Ash again *yay for easily excitable puppies!* with Dana's mom who was watching the game. Turns out, Dana was giving away about half of her entire Otaku paraphernalia! But not all of it, mind you. If that was the case I would have to admit her into a hospital for some sort of delusional disease. I received many YYh doujinshis, manga, and even a few dvds.

We talked a bit on why Dana was giving away so much of her prized otaku materials. (Some of which were very expensive) At work she had to listen to this 20+ year old female nitwit that was an absolute fan of Harry Potter. She thought the book was absolute perfection, the best literature to hit earth. And if you didn't read the books or didn't like them then you were stupid. Then she would proceed to nag you about the books and how stupid you were until you left.

I love the Harry Potter books. I stayed up on the Madi Gras of England in Oxford to stand in line to get my reserved copy of Harry Potter, witches going about, sharing chocolate, magic tricks, live owls and actual professional people sent out to entertain the crowds in Harry Potter fashions. I stayed up til 6 in the morning reading that book, took a three hour nap, and then woke back up at 9 to finish it. And yes I CRIED WHEN DUMBLEDORE DIED! Partially because when I read that part I heard some idiot outside my window in the square playing taps on the bagpipes.

But getting upset that someone didn't read the books is just plain FREAKISH! That woman is childish to the core and really needs to get a life! (pot calling kettle black) *sweatdrop*

Anyway, Dana came to a realization that she was about to turn 21, and here she was watching Japanese cartoons. Something clicked and she said that she should start acting a bit more grown up. Getting rid of most of her Otaku collections was one of the steps I guess. On the upside I got to do something I was longing to do for a while...

Oraganize Dana's stuff! ^_^ *squees and runs around putting things neatly into boxes*

Now I got a huge-ass box and a half of stuff I got to put away. Dana, you'll be glad to know that I have put the doujinshi in a place of quiet honor; neatly on my highest shelf and shelved according to size. *pets the pretty doujinshi* I had to reorganize my entire manga and anime collection to accommodate my new additions, and loved every minute of it! ^ ^ Can't help it, I have a complex for organizing books and things.

Work was crazy today, a big exclusive party for Commonwealth Electric that had a lot of leftovers from Tim's Wild West Barbeque. And to top it off Mom got Dairy Queen, mmmmm cookie dough blizzard. Score!

I don't have any of my stuff done for tomorrow's classes, but my spirits have been lifted! All hail Avenue Q!
