Will's house was much how he left it. His garden has not managed to become a jungle as he suspected. Maybe it was the drought, either way he's not going to question it. The yard checked, and the armadillo trap reset, Will made his way toward the house proper.
An investigation of his pockets turns up the cell phone Sven gave him, but further investigation found he had no service. he shook his head, stuffing it back into his pocket. That's what land lines were for. The long distance will rack of a bill, but this is worth it.
HQ's note is largely ignored because he doesn't feel like decoding the words at the moment. He recognized the letters HQ, and decided it wasn't worth his time.
He pulled out his wallet, flipping it open to a picture of Sven smiling up at him and smiled back. Pulling the picture out and turning it over revealed his contact information, including a phone number, which is promptly dialed.
Sven's busy digging through his things when the phone rings. A very familiar sound he hasn't heard in ages. He rushes over to it and looks at the caller ID. It merely states it's a call from Georgia, and that's it. He crosses his fingers and picks up the phone. "Hello?"
"S-sven?" The voice is hopeful on the other end of the line, as though it doesn't really want to believe this is all true just yet, but cannot help it.
He smiles so broadly you can't help but hear it in his voice, cradling the phone against his ear as he reached backwards for his chair. "Y-yeah. We're... we're back, ain't we? Fer real this time."
He nodded before remembering the phone doesn't show that. "Y-yeah! I, I'd love ta." He curled up onto the couch, pulling the phone with him. "couldn't imagine Christmas without ya now." He elbow jostles something on the table, catching his eye. Another envelope, bearing his name. "Hold on a moment..." There's the sound of ripping paper, before Will holds up the note, sounding out the words like Sven taught him. "You. have. ano-ther. surprise. You. didn't. think. I was. comp-complet-ly. done with. you, did you?" He swallowed nervously before shifting to the next line. "Check. the bed-room." ... "S-sven?"
He's all grins and drifts to his couch to relax before Will mentions the letter. "Oh god Will...be really really careful or I swear..." his eyes drift around the livingroom, not seeing a note. What on earth could it be?
He nodded again, rising up from the couch and taking the phone with him. "A-ah will. Jus'... stay on the line, alrigh'?" He made his way through the living room toward his bedroom door like a man walking to the gallows. Nothing good could come of HQ, he thinks. Especially not after doing something so 'nice' as releasing them.
The door creaks loud enough to be heard over the phone when he opens it. After that all Sven gets is an audible gasp followed by a clatter as the phone hits the ground.
"Will? WILL! Get on the phone! Will, what is it? are you ok? god please tell me you're ok!" He keeps yammering, and eventually stops to listen, trying to calm himself down.
Will's sobs manage to mostly quieten, letting another sound break through. A child, crying, but obviously okay. Will manages a few choking gasps before rising from the bed to find the phone. "S-sven... W-we... O-oh God, Sven." He can't get the words out.
He pauses, calming as quickly as he lost control. There's a long silence and he finally speaks up. "C-Conner? they....he's back?" he sounds in disbelief, but he sounds hopeful and happy about the prospect.
