from their summer music preview section:
THAT GUY WITH THE ONE-STRINGED THING
Now that summer is here, we can expect the emergence of everyone's favorite denizen of Harvard Square. Here he is, ladies and gentlemen- half-musician, half-insane dude: It's the one-string-Asian-instrument guy playing that same awful song all day! Not sure what the instrument is called. An erhu? (a two-stringed chinese fiddle)? Or maybe a psalmodikon, a Scandinavian one-stringed dulcimer? Whatever it is, it's awesome. Just don't ask him about it. A friend of mine made that mistake once and he apparently flipped out on her. You can find him outside the Harvard COOP most warm days.
i do so love that asian dude and his "same awful song". a consummate artist, that man. much mystique! and all without ever having been heard to utter a word. always lays down tissues between the sidewalk and the tissue box he keeps his donations in. so completely enveloped in his own planet of sound even the most feral of the square's oddities think better of hassling him. maybe ill talk to him one day!
...naw... im not spoiling the magic
