Christmas Spirit
Yeah! Christmas is almost here!
Brian and I have had our tree up for two weeks now. We bought it at a tree farm in Spokane and tied it to the top of his Nissan 200SX...and drove the freeway. But that's another story.
You know, I believe this is the first Christmas I have ever been excited about in my entire life. Wow, kinda sad huh? But I plan on the rest of them being like this for the rest of my life. My family never really 'celebrated' Christmas. We went though the motions every year...christmas tree, lights, presents, ect. but it was never a happy time of year.
Last night we took family pictures. For the last 5 years I have been on the verge of tears in every picture. No kidding. If you look hard enough you can tell. My father turns into a evil monster several times a year and every time we're packing for a vacation. No one knows why, it's just a well known fact. Family christmas pictures is one of those times. So this year I asked Brian to come and take the pictures after he got off work. Of course, I warned him about the trend in my family history. Then I told my mother and brother that I warned him. Sure enough, as soon as we were ready for pictures my dad flew off the handle. I turned to Brian and said "like clockwork".My whole family burst into laughter (my dad excluded). We laughed until we cried and once my dad figured out we were laughing at him because he was such a dick he lighted up too. First time ever my family had tears in their eyes from laughing so hard. Thanks Brian. Love you.
