second semester senior year has taught me that procrastination leads to higher efficiency. most people probably know this but I could never understand how my friends could wait until the last possible minute to do long papers or readings. now i've joined the club, yay ( Read more... )

i think that eventually, circumstances tend to lead us away from places that we're familiar with. maybe being in a city where you don't know anyone will allow you to find out who you truly are and assert your own self-sufficiency (I love DC, even though my family is on the other side of the country). or, if it's like me in dublin, you find out that you just really really miss all your friends back home. it could go either way. that probably didn't help that much. ;-)

this is exactly why i'm torn. i know moving away is much needed in many ways.
