This weekend was really odd. I can't say that it was really fun, because it had its moments. However I found it to be one of the better weekends. I guess I can say it was somewhere in between...
The idea that I get from it being so wonderful was my monday afternoon, where I headed up to the mountain at 7am with my boy (John), just listening to the best songs and starring out the window as the sun rises over the trees. When we arrived it was 8:30 and we still managed to get a pretty good parking spot. Having listened to Jack Johnson, I became overwhelmed with his songs and continually sang them throughout the day. Cruising down the slopes with the sun shining in the clear blue sky, being with my boyfriend, and not having so much trouble as I did last time, I was able to keep up and get off the chairlift ok (except for one time but we'll pretend that didn't happen).
Funny Moment:
Coming to that last hill, we sat ourselves down on the snow, looking at what was infront of us. We studied the hill that I had to go "straight" down to go back up the other side, and if I didn't I would have to undo one of my bindings and slide my way back to the chairlift (which REALLY SUCKS). I think I was too focused on the "Slow" sign that sat in the middle of the run, but I still insisted that I spend another minute focusing. I got up and began to go down. The nose of my board clipped the pole of the rail sign and I ate shit. I got up quickly and laughed as I continued on. Nothing like that happened the rest of the day.
Don't focus on the little things in life... because they just come back and slap you in the face. Its like the sign, if you don't focus on it, you won't hit it.--Words of Wisdom by Rose.
I truely admire, trust and love my friends, my family, and of course John (who is also my friend).
My birthday is in 3 weeks, which is also field studies, which is also our 4month, which by then I'll know if I got into college!! HECK YES!
