David was born and raised in Chicago, became a
psychiatric survivor activist in Massachusetts, and
now lives in Oregon where he directs MindFreedom
International (MFI). This is David's 31st year working
as a human rights activist.
MFI is an independent nonprofit coalition defending
human rights and promoting humane alternatives in the
mental health system.
