Anatomy cadaver fun.

So in my Human Anatomy class we're beginning the skeletal system. Soon after we will start muscles, including the use of two cadavers. My lab professor showed us one of them on Monday. It isn't fully dissected yet, but for the most part it's skinned. The super cool part was after class, because she chose only 2 of us, to stay and watch as all the Anatomy teachers and T.A.'s dissect some of the remaining areas. We got to stay for like an hour! It was so cool, they were peeling off pails of adipose tissue around the thigh area. It's such a trip to think that's what we look like inside, we're so much more than a bag of bones and fat. It was also funny to see how content they were, talking about how they were going out for drinks once they finished up, cracking jokes and whatnot. It kind of makes me want to be a T.A. if I do well in this class and have the time in the future.

I'm having such a good feeling about this class. Monday the 21st is our first exam on Cytology, The Integumentary System, and Bones. I also have a lab exam identifying different epithethial and muscle tissues.
I'm not worried about either. I'm working hard. I went to an extra lab today and have been studying since day one. I don't feel left behind at all, and it feels great. :)

and...ZOMG PORCUPINE TREE FRIDAYYYY!
