It rained so fast while I was at school today. I actually saw it roll in horizontally. @_@ Looks like signing up for my classes hit some snags so I may do my senior internship this term to get it out of the way. Summer is the best time to work and work for no pay. It's like regular summer, where I have 1 (or two)jobs and have a regular income of $40-$50 a month. Yes, my annual income if I couldn't nab a seasonal job is $600 a year. They said 2008 was the worst economic year, and I made like $3k that year. It's still really...REALLY sad.
Only difference with the internship is maybe I have a chance of being useful and getting a good word put in for me. And then my college gives me access to job search help. Since without me noticing, the school became heaps better. They have remedial classes if you don't pass your entrance exams now. like, 4 different levels of remedial math and English. And they restructured the program. Too bad this happened while I was going, so I think I'll take some lower level classes in my spare time to catch up with the new programs, hardware, and software(since it's free and if I get a high A it'll replace whatever other grade I had). And that new sound lab looks bitchin'. I should go and try to compose a few things, website background loops that are quiet and elevator-ish. Or just dick around in front of the new green screen. I wish I had friends there, it would help with me actually enjoying being there.
Other than that going to school is borderline panic attack city because I flip out if there isn't anybody in my comfort zone nearby when I'm out. I keep having to drag Bryan places with me. Fir classes I'm usually stuck with this gigantic weed smoking douchebag. Most of the people left are pretty big bastards, there's only like one or two people I still talk to. I mean, there's still ladies there too but we don't speak. Instructors still all know me by name and seem to like me despite my new found crippling shyness. They always spend so much time to tell me I'm talented. One said he still wants me to design something for the halls. I suppose I could, as long as it's something I design for the sold purpose of "It is for that wall and I will not use this character outside of this school" Actually wait. I refused to sign that release, so they can't use my stuff. Woo!
I drew a thing the other day, I'll hook up Diego, my aging scanner and plop it into photoshop after I free up a usb port.
There, I babbled. That felt nice. I'm going to finish my download of Starcraft I since I lost my discs(only found Diablo II sans CD key) and play through it in entirety to get ready for starcraft II on the 27th.
woo!!
