Today marks the anniversary of the May 3rd flood. I can’t find much info about it, but pre-Katrina, everybody in New Orleans remembered it. 13 inches of rain fell in one day. No hurricanes or tropical storms were associated with the rain. I was almost 3 years old when it happened. My mother found me at the bottom of the staircase playing in the flood water that morning. She still gets mad at me for that. Sorry mom ;o)
