I am Unohana Retsu, captain of the 4th Division of the Gotei 13, the shinigami army of Soul Society. And before you ask, no, I am not related in any way to the shinigami you know in your world. We are from different dimensions.

It might sound innocuous to most, but for Mello, the existence of shinigami is tied to the Death Note - which is tied to Kira and Near and himself, and not something that's usually common knowledge. Mello prefers it not being common knowledge.]
