Nice to see I'm not alone

The Globalist has an opinion article in three parts this week (Part 1, Part 2 Part 3) about US foreign policy entitled Diplomacy and Empire by Chas W. Freeman, former U. S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Assistant Secretary of defense for International Security Affairs. He's been a diplomat for 30 years and clearly picked up on a thing or two. It was so relieving to see I'm not the only one who thinks this way! I agree with almost every single point this guy makes. The States are coming dangerously close to Royally Fucking Up. It's not looking likely that there will be another American century, and that could have been prevented by the Americans themselves. Oh boy, it will be both interesting and scary to see China rising and America falling so that their national arrogances meet head-on.

In practicaly terms, I'm not opening a Roth IRA until someone can shows me I could access that money from another country, because at this rate I'm likely to have a brighter future somewhere else by the time I'm middle-aged, let alone retiring. I have to admit, I sort of wish that wasn't the case... better get my boyfriend started on learning some other languages so he's not so handicapped :/
