Off a tip from an MIT alumna, I'm reading this site on women at MIT (http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/life/women_at_mit/index.shtml), and I find THIS: "A number of groups on campus are run by and serve the women's community at MIT, including the Society of Women Engineers, Mujeres Latinas, the Black Women's Alliance, Queer Women Looking for Life in Tech School (QWILLTS), a graduate women's group, and a freshman women's support group."
A QUEER GROUP??? UIUC is so far from that, it's not even funny. MIT just shot up to the top of my wishlist. WHY didn't I apply there??
