alaina profiling?
talk about irony...
alaina goes to cover news conference on safety belts - notably the national "click it or ticket" initiative. alaina gets a cab, because the event started at 10 and she found out at 10:15. alaina gives cab driver address, sits back and thinks how nice it is to be in washington, where she does not have to drive and worry about crazy drivers or being pulled over.
alaina arrives at news conference. cab is swarmed by cops. "click it or ticket" has set up shop outside of news conference. driver doesn't speak english, is confused.
luckily, cop is from upstate new york - namely rochester. asks alaina who the best football team is. alaina says "not the orangemen" with quite a bit of dejection. he asks "no, i mean pro, and you better have the right answer." alaina freaks. three new york teams - bills, giants, jets - and everyone loves their team and hates the others. "well, i root for the bills," alaina says. "good answer," cop says.
alaina gets a warning ticket. she promises to take the metro from now on.
it all comes back to upstate new york...or sports...whichever way you choose to look at it...:)
that's TWICE in 48 hours. dear god. at least i was able to talk my way out of these...must be the new hair ;)
