It's much too hot to live, and from what the weatherman is saying, it's supposed to get hotter. Gah.
Life is boring. Got a haircut, lost about 3 or 4 inches off my hair. Shoulder length now. It's strange, I keep running my fingers through it because it feels so short. When I was it, it feels like I have no hair. Haircuts always throw me through a loop.
Rented NightWatch and Pulse, they were ... interesting. NightWatch was a engaging enough to where I didn't feel like walking away, but that was mostly because I had to sit there and periodically ask what the hell is going on. A bit difficult to follow, interesting idea though. I liked the concept of The Others, though they could have explained them a bit better. Especially The Gloom. (And yes, both those terms must be capitalized, because the characters say them as if they are, which I rather liked.) Pulse was fucked up and kinda annoying. Yeah, yeah, Japanese culture is different, but Jesus-fucking-Christ, why weren't people a bit more freaked out? From the previews of the American version it looks like they took a lot of the key components of the original film, but made it less psychological and more classic horror. The loneliness in the original wouldn't work as well in America for a mainstream audience. It would be too depressing for most people, and honestly? I'm kinda glad it's not going to be like that in the new one, I go to horror movies to be scared, not to be depressed.
