Hi Folks,
Elaine here. We were told that this orphanage was for children up to 6 years old. However, we have found that the good Sisters try to keep sibling sets together for as long as possible so that there are some older children up to the ages of 10. So some donations in larger sizes (like 8 and 10) would be great too. Also, Lawrence reminded me that hats, mittens, and other outerwear would be great.
We got to measure the children the other day but all we could find to measure them was a tape measure in centimeters. So here are their sizes in metric. Would somebody be so kind as to convert them to inches and let me know what sizes they are by posting it to this log? I’m pretty sure that Lands End kid’s catalogs have the sizes in both inches and metrics. I’d love to figure out if my guesses are right. That M is a 3T, D is a 4 T, and I is a very slim size 5. These sizes are in centimeters.
I (the elder boy)
Waist 55
Height 114
Inseam 40
D (the girl)
Waist 49
Height 106
Inseam 41
M (the younger boy)
Waist 60
Height 100
Inseam 34
And yes, M has a larger waist size than either of his older Polish siblings. I used the foot sizing chart that Mimi gives out. They were wigglely for this, so these are just approximates.
Shoes
I = size 12 shoe
D= size 9.5
M= size 7
