We land in the Munich airport. It was very quiet and so uber modern and sprockets like. (Kinda of creepy and spooky.) We had a tight connection to a Lot Flight going to Warsaw. We had to schlep our bags down three flights of stairs to a bus that drove us to a rather small plane. The flight was only two hours but they served a lovely Polish breakfast and a really super cup of tea (herbata).
We sat next to some American guy that was going to help his Polish Aunt settle some business. He was all-proud of the fact that he has been to Poland three times and hasn’t learned a bit of the language. L used more Polish on the 2 hour Lot flight than this guy has in all his trips. No wonder many Europeans think us Americans are uncouth ~~~ because many of us are. (But of course, this doesn't appply to our friends who are reading this.)
Customs was a breeze. We changed some money at Kantors! And went to look for Jozef or Ania. We had been told to avoid the taxi drivers who are inside the terminal. These are not official cabs. Many of them approached L as we were waiting for Jozef. So, we were very happy to see Jozef when he showed up.
