Well, I for one, have not stopped praying for ALL of you! I know your days, are full, as your minds and emotions. There is so much going on, but in the end, all gets done. It seems so overwhelming, now, I know, but at least the time's not dragging, before you're reunited with your new little ones! All this preparation you are doing, is so exciting, as if you are making a long time dream come true! As far as the shower goes, I think it would be to much for the children to have all these strangers around them. Gift cards are the best! So my advice to the weary parents, do what you can do, and some stuff might have to wait to be done as your "new family projects!" God Bless you all! Love, Robin H.
Something else to sign?

The paperwork that you are speaking of the your lawyer wants you to sign is most likely a "Power of Attorney" document (another one you're asking yourself?).
In our case, our facilitator had us sign a blank piece of paper (now is that trust or what?) and she would write and translate the letter that evening. She did and at that point, it was just another leap of faith that we took.
Good to see that the live chat is up and running again. I am an avid reader and will stay tuned for more!
God Bless and best wishes to all of you! Janet
P.S. How much time do you have between flights for customs? We had three hours and needed all but 7 minutes of it.

Hi Janet,
We are flying Air France over (Bos=>Paris & Paris=>Warsaw) and have almost a 4 hour layover on that leg.
We are fly Swiss Air (Warsaw=>Zurich & Zurich=>Bos) back and have slightly over 2 hour layover on that leg.
No one told us about a Customs thing. We didn't have any customs thing to do on the way over. Could you tell me what you needed to do that took so long? Is it because we are American citizen's traveling with minor Polish nationals?

Gosh Elaine, it took soooo much time. All the lines. Remember we were at Chicago O-hare and it was right before Christmas so I'm thinking the holiday had a lot to do with it. I CERTAINLY (napewno!) certainly hope you don't have as much a wait.
When we got off the plane, we had to 1) wait to go through customs and then 2)immigration for the kids (about 1 hour there). Then onto the wait for our 3) luggage (about 30 minutes at least there to collect all of it). Then onto the 4)Agriculture inspection (USDA) - that was about 30 minutes. Then because we were switching planes, we had to take our luggage to an area where it was to be 5)checked again - another 15 minutes or so. Then we had to go to the 6)check in (without our luggage) - another 15 minutes and then walk to the 7)correct terminal. With 7 minutes to spare (really) we had time to buy a couple of juices for the kids.

it makes sense not to overwhelm the kids too soon with unfamiliar faces. i suggest a labor day weekend kids fest where all children will get some loot, attention, party favours, and brats(wurst). it would be a good opportunity to have all interested parties attend in a cook out type atmosphere where a good time can be had by all.
