i booked a show a while back and on friday it all came to life. it was so fucken awesome. another good en'. its strange how i define a good show because quite often the smaller shows are my favourite where they are more personal and meaningful. powerslam from byron opened. theyre sort of old school punk kinda stuff that lil allan put me onto. they were rad anyways especially with not being together long. then xchuck norrisx holy shit. this is defs one of my new favs. i got it all on video too. and trust me.. i have played it about ten times over and still its gold. xthe warx played next, it was their demo launch. they had a massive pit as usual. i didnt get to watch much of them though because i was working the door..this band seem to be the sort of band where everyone is watching the pit more than the band though.. which is a bit shitty. its clear that the guys that play the instruments hold more integrity & belief than the messenger himself if you know what i mean. against didnt end up headlining because greg had to "work". im still wondering what it is he had to do...
helmets hell suss on it. but they played well and allan (jsg) stole the mic mid set and started singin along. it sounded awesome. that boy has got an amazin voice on him.and im sure he doesnt realise alot of the time. the daylight curse seriously filled the room. theyre such a great band - theyve played every one of my shows over the last six months i hope ive helped them along a bit. im looking forward to them recording again. and im spewin i have to give them a rest before i overbook them! ill be stoked in july when the rivalry are up and curse play the bowls club again.
