the ups and downs of adelaide
- not spending a fortune to see people i wouldnt normally see in brisbane (ie)brendan, ash, kris, mawds, johndad, shaun,xdanx, xshaunx,rachie and jade, bec, onton, natski and the rest of the perth ratbags i cant get enough of. as well as seeing old stuart little,george, damian, laughing at cheyno.
- Seeing a bunch of awesome bands that i hadnt seen live - jungle fever, the deadwalk, the rivalry, STRONGHOLD!!!
- seeing most of my favourite australian hc bands all in the one place. plus best merch table ever. parkway drive chocolates? ohhh shitttt! amazin!
- having mad hangouts in another state & meeting so many new people - jess, stars, kyle, a girl called danni from melb, all mark and emmas friends (too many to mention!) finding out who some dude my housemate has been chatting to on the phone for months is haha. meeting people rules. sunday was the best.the show was awesome plus it was licensed after that people went to either pizza or a pub called the rosemont we went to teh pub (after a shower - we stunk it was like 35* or some shit) it began with me and jess and brent from perth my new gamblor partners in crime :D winning on the pokies wooo so that was my drinking money sorted i sat down with emma and she introduced me to some dude from the sunny coast that was with the daylight curse he was crackin me up all night i was pretty drunk.. i cant remember his name. he had hammertime tattood on his stomach and two hell mad guns that went from his hips half way down his legs haha first thing he said to me - hey laila you know what time it is? and lifts his shirt and stands up and yells HAMMERTIME!!!! have you seen my guns? and then drops his dacks in the middle of this pub. nick from perth was unbelievable drunk it was awesome haha security had to have a word after he had yelled at the pool table pockets haha meanwhile natski is singing we built this city on sausage rollllllllls and andy wound. he got SATCHED so many times by kris and brendan haha all in all it was an amazing night and brendan at the end of the night topped it off. the walk home included brendan tryin to touch boobs and then running across the road to "cum park" and pelvic thrusting over a massive sprinkler, then pissing backward while he was walked facing us and then "lailaaa im in a band and i didnt get laid. how could this happen to me?!" hahahah poor brendan. no seesh. haha
i was so screwed after sunday night and i was supposed to be staying at stus place but then i went with brendan and john dad on monday morn to meet damian (from building records) cos he was driving them to the airport so i went with and then damian randomly told me i should stay at his.. so i had the best chilled end to the wkend. we picked up my bags and straight to his place for music, dvds and yes.. weed. it was rad and so out of the blue and unexpected. i did feel bad though cos kris (perth) and janey (gc) were hanging all weekend and in the end it was so easy to get it was just a day late! damnnnn haha

the negatives are barely there hey. it was an awesome wkend. the only scary thing was walking home alone, any quiet spot in a big city at night alone is damn scary! oh and there was a dirty greasebag junky lady hitting on jade in a small pub we had dinner in. shortly after that jade told us how she likes to be pumped.. alex has a way of getting these details from slightly inhebriated women.. make of that what you will.. haha
friday night i went with alex to meet his cousin and it was under a bridge next to a river that is poisoned with hippies wearing dress looking things and no shoes twirling fire sticks and playing bongo drums.. a whole congregation of them.. yes. im serious. then one of them "dropped" her fire twirling stick that came hurling toward me and jade, there were spiders hanging from the ceiling by single threads of spider web.. BIG SPIDERS.. it was as though i had stepped out of a time machine. but apart from that BEST WEEKENDDDDDD!!!!
i've heard he's a douche but i must admit crafter ruled for that lineup. good condish
