I'm a little bored right now at work. Need to have a little bit of work looked at before I can move forward, and I somehow managed to finish reading all 3 of the Fruits Basket books I brought to read on the train/at lunch hehe. A little sad.
I found a great henna tutorial webpage/webbook (www.hennapage.come) that's been really helpful in teaching me some traditional patterns so I can learn to do henna better :D
I did a bit last year on Jocelyn and had a lot of fun with it. I used to do swirly flowery patterns in pen on my hand in highschool, but this is a lot more rewarding hehe. I love the look of it all over feet and hands, and might try doing some on myself tonight!! I did the entire back of Jocelyn's hand yesterday with some of the patterns I was practising at work, and it turned out amazing!! YAY!
The reason I'm practising is because my parent's are the main family in charge of organizing the Formal dance where our cottage is located (it's like a tiny suburb community of cottages, it's all clubby and they have activities). They were thinking of doing a Bollywood theme (which I think would be AWESOME!!!)
And then suddenly it turns out they plan to use me as a henna slave for the evening :P So I'm taking my job seriously! Aside from the fact that I like doing it, I want to learn how to do it well so I can be fast and impressive at the formal ;) If anyone wants Henna on their hands or feet just lemme know, I need victims to practise on :P
...I mean volunteers <3
