Economy, You've Slumped Me
Yesterday ended up being rather marvelous!
Instead of working I went on a wonderful walk with Noelle, Khelsi, and Zach at the dam in the rain. Noelle and I had on rain gestapo boots and stomped in puddles and everything was great. We went down a long path that led to someone's house and I felt as if I was in an indie movie. Then we went swimming at Khelsi's lake with umbrellas (to keep us dry). We dropped Khelsi off at her house and Noelle, Zach, and I went to Noe's for a sandwichdinner and to watch the fifth HP movie again!
Then Ben and Zach and I went to the station, saw Teagan which was great because I was afraid I wouldn't see her again before she left for Kenya, and left with John/Billy/Jimmy/Billy'sgirlfriend to go see Solaris finally. It was pretty good but not TOTALLY amazing and to be honest... even though Jimmy is a movie elitist and would not like to hear me say this... i think the newer american version is better at least in that it is more approachable and more interesting since a lot of the issues with the first Solaris are ironed out and whatnot. but whatever i'm not the movie buff, i only know how i feel... which is that russian Solaris is cool but not like AMAZINGGGGGGGGG.
Anyways... we were thinking of swimming at jimmy's grandparents but it was already past three am so we just went home.
I got up this morning a little after 10 to see mom/david off. not like they were leaving when they said they were... in fact i left first to go to my dentist appointment. X-rays show massive attack being mounted on my mouth by wisdom teeth so we have to call up the doc and get me an appointment for their removal. oh boy.
Then after some time at my dad's house we (sue/dad/me) set off for the movies and I finally got to see The Dark Knight! It was so great, and John is soooo wrong Zach. The end, i will say, was a little overwhelming and tooooo muccchhh going on... but it was still really good and Heath Ledger was faaannnttaassttiicc. I'm so pissed he's dead, he can't be in the rest of the movies! grah! but... yeah okay that sound's terrible. Sorry Heath! R.I.P.!
Then I came home and witnessed an astoundingly bad ending to a redsox/yankees game. I'm convinced this one ump is being paid off because his calls and lack of calls were absolutely ridiculous. Youk very nearly took a fatal ball to the head (in MLB these things are almost NEVER accidental) and had been targeted by Joba before. But did ump eject the offender? No! Then same ump made a ridiculous call of strike instead of ball (it was SOOO far out of the strike box it was insane, Mikey Lowell had to literally jump out of its way) and Lowell went OFF like I have never seen him do in his entire career. Anyways, we lost 1-0 and sometimes a close game like that can be the bitterest to swallow. Sometimes I wish I had at least ONE friend who enjoyed watching baseball... but oh well! I guess I just need to befriend more guys =D
Speaking of guys, dressie party tomorrow! yay! but before that I get to go to Tracy's and meet my new nephew, Nathan Francis Lombardi! (yeah... his initials are NFL... why... whywhywhywhy? haha) But I'm really excited to do that! yayyyy!
Oh yes, also when I checked my email I got one from Camille saying that she was thinking of only having people in the shop when she is away because she needs to cut the budget. Which means, less hours and less money for yours truly. I had a feeling this was coming... a store like hers in a town like ours in times like these is on shaky ground. So I completely understand, especially with my parents! but... it sucks for me. I don't think I work again until midaugust. so... blech. Once I pay back Matt for my Spoon ticket and give Ben some funds for our adventures these next couple weeks I'll have to tighten my belt as they say. bother.
tonight I will sleep outside methinks! of course I will get up early so as not to deal with the questions of my loving parents. I don't think they'd have a problem with it, but i'd rather not find out! plus... it's more fun if its secret. I like having a night to myself sometimes. night loves!
