Oh shit, oh shit, it's only July 23rd and I just got my first hankering to... I can't even believe I'm going to say this... go back to SCHOOL. What is WRONG with me??!!!!! It's all Harry Potter's fault! The last few days I've been reading the 5th book... why? I don't know... that night on which it seemed like a good idea to watch the movie at 2 in the morning had something to do with it, I guess. But anyways, they are all stressed about their tests or whatever in the book and it reminded me of APs. Which is a thought that should make me never want to go to school again, but for some reason is one that made me be like "awww... schoooolll!!!"
Of course, I don't want to do the WORK. I still have all my summer assignments to do. Which reminds me that I should start reading 1984 instead of Harry Potter. Something tells me Telford would not be pleased if I handed in a paper about The Order of The Pheonix instead of the classic George Orwell... Well... bother. And I haven't gotten far in First Order Logic mainly because I need to use Ben's computer. I'll just do that maybe, when Ben goes to work and doesn't need it or something. We've been sort of busy.... but sort of not. Too many late nights and late mornings I guess.
Though the night before last, on which I went to bed at 5, I woke up at 10 like a good girl! Laid around for a bit and then my dearest love Mitchell/Kelly came to visit. We mostly did nothing, but it was very enjoyable. Our plan was to get chalk and draw on the parking lot outside of Price Chopper but we couldn't find chalk and instead got pizza dough and cheese and made a pizza. That was quite lovely except that while she was there Mom and Dave got into one of their random spats about nothing in particular which was sort of embarassing. But Kelly doesn't mind much I don't think because she has plenty of friends with crazy parents, don't we all?
After she left we had dinner for Caroline's birthday and some cake and whatnot. Then we headed off to the station, bringing our dear birthday girl with us for a change (I haven't seen her all summer pretty much... either we're gone or she is off at her friend's house or her mom's house or something). There was not much happening at the station, sat around with Ben and Caro and Zach, Becky and Steve and Sarah were there for a bit, Jimmy and Erin came...   Then we went home to drop off the little one and set off for Billy's where we debated what movie to watch for like... EVER. Everyone wanted to watch Solaris (the russian version) except for Billy because it was 2 hours and 40 minutes long and it was already 11. But we couldn't pick another movie for 40 freaking minutes so if we'd just watched Solaris right away it would have ended at the same time as what ended up happening. Oh well.
What we did watch was Eraserhead. Which was... wow. I mean, it was kind of amazing. Pretty much genius. Horrifying. Amazing. Hands down the most disturbing movie I have EVER seen. EVER. Watching the worst scenes from May over and over again could not even touch the tiptoes of Eraserhead. But I'm glad I saw it actually, it was quite amazing.
When I got home I actually went straight to bed because I had the good sense NOT to go on the computer, which always keeps me up very late and since it was already 2 AM there was no good reason to be up for longer.
Woke up this morning around 11:30, ate a peanutbutter sandwich with milk, read some good ole HP, and... that's it.
the end!
