old songs out of nowhere

is it me but do old songs just turn up out of blue, and take you back to years and years ago. You can remember the words, but also the emotions, the people, for 3 and a bit minutes.
The power of a pop tune i suppose.

Yet i can't find this tune in my cds', i'm rubbish at downloading mp3's, and the cheapskate in me stops me from paying
