Room 213 - Sunday evening
Parents Weekend was next weekend. Dick thought he usually did a pretty good job playing things close to the sweatervest. It was rare that he let people here see anything but a confident, happy guy. It was an easy cover to maintain because it was usually true.
That wasn't the case when Bruce Wayne was going to be here at his school on Friday. Everything had to be perfect. His room had to be spotless. His books needed to be clearly displayed to show that he'd been taking his studies seriously. His person he'd been dating for a few months was going to have to not fall for Bruce. Dick was fairly sure that wouldn't happen this time, but it had been a concern in the past.
Normally this wouldn't be such a big deal. But this was Dick's first shot at showing Bruce how well he'd been doing for himself since he chose to stay here in Fandom. And, really, how could anything ever be good enough to impress Batman?
A good place to start was by viciously attacking the floor with a broom.
