last night, nikki, amanda, janette, and i sat on the tube talking very loudly about subjects not appropriate for a loud, public conversation. we were pretty much alone until leicester square. we tried to find this indie pub/club in piccadilly but ended up at this pub where a stupendous cover band was playing classics. our mission was to dance (in fact, come to think of it that's what it always is) and we did to our heart's content. dancing to hip-hop is very fun, but sometimes you need a guitar riff to move to.
one thing that i already know i will miss when i get back to the states is going to pubs. not so much for the alcoholic beverage but for the social atmosphere. i have yet to experience the american bar scene, but if it's anything short of the experience i am having here, i will be devestated.
i am getting so excited for dublin, phoenix, and paul simon. mainly to dance to phoenix and paul, as well as to be in the same room with paul because---and i'll say it over and over again---he is my hero.
it is hot in my room. thank god those damn mosquito eaters died. OH. and last night, walking back from the middlesex coach to the dorm, we saw the single most bizarre looking deer. the deers here aren't deers. they look like deers, but they are the size of a fox, or my dog in fact.
