(no subject)
A large part of why I don't post with any sort of frequency these days has to do with my job. There is a large amount of flux going on where I work - flux that has gone on since about a week into starting. It's not really appropriate for me to post about it here right now, but there is an underlying level of stress that is attached to not knowing what will happen with our school. But I feel like if I don't talk about it, it sorta goes away while I'm not at work.
This weekend was good. After Friday night's endless meeting that made my brain hurt, Silvia and I went and had $6 20-oz margs. 'Nuff said. I walked down to the beach on Saturday morning. I meant to just eat my muffin while I walked down to the pier and back -- but then there was this school of dolphins that didn't just swim by - they stopped and played for like an hour. It was pretty cool - jumping in and out of the water, doing their little tail flapping stuff, etc. They were swimming right up with the surfers, too.
Lisa W. came up from San Diego, Erica from P.V., and the three of us hung out. Jeanna (sp?) also came out for awhile - she lives up the street and I didn't even know it! We hooked up with Rach much later in the evening and hit the brit pub, and then the irish one. We had some semi-sloshed Irish guys for entertainment.
This morning, Lisa and Erica helped make a fantabulous breakfast of waffles, fried bananas (fried in the waffle batter, no less), over-easy eggs, and juice. Yum. After they left, I graded all day. Exciting.
Anyway, I was listening to Aqualung singing "Brighter Than Sunshine" and felt like posting. So there you have it.
