Fandoms

Stargate SG-1 (Sam/Janet)

Sam is my favourite character in Stargate, and I love her relationship with Janet. I really like how they support each other in canon, and their respective relationships with Cassandra, and I could easily see their friendship leading to more. I'd love a hurt/comfort fic where Sam gets hurt on some mission and Janet looks after her, or the two of them relaxing together on a day off, or a fix-it where Janet doesn't die or comes back from the dead. Appearances from the rest of SG-1 would be great too, if you're so inclined.

Star Trek AOS (Jim&Winona, Vulcan homosexuality)

Jim&Winona: I'd love to see something exploring their relationship, especially when he's grown up and is captain of the Enterprise. Maybe a scene of him showing off his ship to his mother, or introducing her to his crew, or going back to Iowa after the events of the first/third movie? Gen would be great, but if you want to put in background relationships, I like Kirk/Spock and Winona/OFC.

Vulcan homosexuality: I can't imagine losing about 99.999% of the population wouldn't affect their view on same-sex relationships. How does sexuality clash with the need to rebuild the species? Do they try to work around it, so that same-sex couples adopt or donate eggs/sperm or act as surrogates, or do they expect gay Vulcans to just suck it up and do their part for the greater good? I'd love to see Spock in particular struggling with this situation, but OCs (whether male or female) would be great too. Also, I don't have any issues with mpreg (at least among aliens) so if you want to have that as a solution, go right ahead.

Notes: Please don't write Winona as a bad mother to Jim. Also, I'm fine with a fic that takes place before or after Beyond, but if possible I'd prefer no references to the events of STID.

Star Trek TNG (Riker/Troi, Perceptions of TOS era)

Riker/Troi: I love their relationship in canon, both as friends and as a couple. I love how they support each other and clearly have a lot of fun together. I'd enjoy seeing them on shore leave, or interacting with their friends, or backstory about the two of them before they started working on the Enterprise, or anything exploring Troi's empathic abilities and how they affect their relationship.

Perceptions of TOS era: We get to see a little bit of this in canon - Scotty's appearance in "Relics", the DS9 episode "Trials and Tribble-ations", etc, but I always want more. How do people in the TNG era view Kirk's adventures? Do they assume a lot of it is made up, or do they totally believe it? Are they taught about in the academy? What parts are best remembered, and what parts are exaggerated/changed to make for a better story? What about the TOS characters who are still alive in that era? How are they treated? (Also, totally optional, but I'm a big Kirk/Spock shipper, so if you want to explore that relationship in the context of history I'd be thrilled.)

Star Trek TOS (Kirk&Spock, Scotty/Uhura, Saavik, Saavik/David, Vulcan homosexuality, LGBT rights)

Kirk&Spock: I love them as a romantic couple, but I also really love their friendship, so that's what I'm requesting here. I'd love fic dealing with the aftermath of pretty much any episode, or anything where one of them gets hurt/ill and the other takes care of them, especially if they're stranded somewhere and have to keep each other alive until help comes. I'd also be interested in fic dealing with the various traumas in their pasts (Spock's bullying and isolation, Kirk's time on Tarsus, etc), or anything dealing with the idea that they have some kind of mental link and know if the other is hurt/ill/in danger.

Scotty/Uhura: I love this ship. Their scenes in The Final Frontier are adorable, and I think they'd work so well together. I'd love something set when they're older, but something during the series would be great too. I'd like to see them bonding over music, or going on shore leave together, or meeting each other's families, or anything really, just as long as it's about the two of them.

Saavik, Saavik/David: I really like Saavik's mentor-student relationship with Spock, and I'd love to see more of that, but I'd also be interested in her past, or her time at the academy, or what she does after we last see her in The Voyage Home. For Saavik/David, I'd really like an AU where he lives, but anything about their relationship would be great. Maybe something about their time on the Grissom, or what they were doing while Kirk was talking to Carol in TWOK?

Vulcan homosexuality: We know they have a word that means both "brother" and "lover", so how does that relate to their society? I'd be interested in almost any take on how Vulcans view same-sex relationships - that they care more about mental compatibility so gender doesn't matter, that homosexuality is illogical because you can't reproduce, that it's illogical to force gay people into opposite-sex relationships because sexuality is innate and unchangeable, that bisexuality is the most logical because it widens the pool of potential partners in case of pon farr... If I've learned one thing watching the various Star Trek series, it's that Vulcans can use logic to justify just about anything. I ship Kirk/Spock, so I'd love an exploration involving them, but I'd also be interested in OCs or minor characters - what does Surak say about such matters, for example?

LGBT rights: This kind of ties in with the above, but in a broader sense. How do the reactions to same-sex relationships differ between planets/species? I see future Earth as a place where being gay/bi is a non-issue, but are there still pride parades? Gay bars? What about on other planets? Are there clashes between conservative cultures and those that are more "anything goes"? What about species that have more than two sexes, or only one? How does homosexuality work among Andorians, for example? And what about trans characters? I imagine the future has much better techniques for changing one's body, but what about the social aspects? How does the process of transitioning differ from species to species? (I'm fine with OCs for this, but I'm also okay with canon characters being re-imagined as trans, as long as they keep their canon genders.)

Notes: For reference, I take Vulcan body temperature as higher than human.

Thanks again!
