So today was a pretty boring day. I slept for most of it. I usually don't.But I was so tired today that I decided why not. Usually I will stay up and do homework or work out or do something productive. But somehow that didn't happen today. I don't like taking long naps. it makes me feel like i have wasted my day. And I pretty much did waste my day.
I have a job now. I was so thankful when I found one. I searched forever on campus to find one. It has gone well too. I don't do anything much but answer phones and do little odds and ends for people.
I was thinking just now. Why do we worry so much. I worry so much more than I should. It will lead to an early grave. Worrying just causes stress and it's not good for me. Life seems to pick me up and just keeps dragging me on and on without ever slowing down. I wonder why we are such an impatient society? Why do we not take the time to look around and enjoy what we have? Yesterday I was walking to class and I stopped for a few minutes to look around. I saw so many people in a hurry. I passed by someone i met the other day and i said hi and how are you ( you know the polite thing to do), all he could do was smile because he was in such a hurry to get where he needed to be. It makes me sad when we cram our schedules so full that we don't have time to stop and smell the roses. Our society tells us that if our lives aren't busy and if we are not overly productive then we are lazy. The Bible in Matthew 6 tells us we shouldn't worry about our lives. We shouldn't worry about our bodies and what we look like. If we believe that God provides for the birds why should we worry. We should believe that we are more to Him than the birds and that He will provide for us as well.
I have always thought that worrying was a bad thing. But it's human nature to worry. We worry about our day and our busy lives. We worry about the choices we make and if we are doing the right thing. When did we become such a worrying society? I think that sometimes it is healthy to worry. If we didn't worry about some things I think we just wouldn't care. It shows that we care about our lives, what people think of us, and about the choices we make. I also think that people can worry too much.
ok well enough randomness!
Peace out!
