this is entitled 'Tongue'

his shell
so strong so sheltered from the outside
a gentle knocking from the inside
screaming mute

eyes swell
this river speaks a millions words but
inside the womb his mouth was sealed shut
screaming boy

in a day he lives your lifetime
begging jesus for the nighttime
when will ever be the right time
for this

dark cloud
to disappear behind the bright sun
to give the keys unto this locked one
bleeding child

no love
has ever found it's way down this path
a trail provided for by God's wrath
piercing scream

for the right to tell his sorrow
he would gladly trade tomorrow
from the devil he would borrow
for this

one chance
to shout his heartache to his father
to speak "i love you" to his mother
stolen soul
