So, a few weeks ago, I posted my top 10 albums of all time, along with Madeleine's. Kate commented about how her top albums change with time. That got me thinking.
What are the albums you know every word to thanks to your parents? I first got back into albums my parents introduced me to when I had my awesome bridal shower courtesy of Blakely. Around 5 AM, when we were still up, drinking wine and dancing, she threw on Billy Joel's The Stranger. And both of us could sing the album from end to end. Since it came out in 1977, I can only assume she owes her familiarity with the album to her parents, too (she would have been 3 years old in 77).
As for me, I know every word of the following albums, all thanks to Slux and Dlux
Billy Joel--The Stranger
Paul Simon--Graceland
The Nylons--Perfect Fit
Dire Straits--Making Movies
Bob James--Lucky Seven (we loved this more for the ladybug record cover than for the music, but it still rocked)
Big Brother And the Holding Company (aka Janis Joplin)--Cheap Thrills
Harry Belafonte--Whatever LP had "Waltzing Matilda" on it, which I think is Streets I Have Walked (1963) (I don't think this one is available on CD)
Arlo Guthrie--Alice's Restaurant (granted, I only know one song from this by heart, but it is a really long song)
Jamie Brockett--Remember the Wind and the Rain
Am I missing any, H and Max?

What albums are you going to get your kids into?
