Between looking for an apartment and looking for something to do at work, I have to occupy myself, right?
Day 04 - Your favorite show ever
This one is really breaking my brain. I have the hardest time qualifying anything my favourite ever. It all depends on when you're asking. So I'm confortable giving my three four personal favourites in no particular order. (Because it took five minutes to disagree with myself).
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
I was such a fanatic of this show. I could name the titles of every episodes both in French and in English. It was kind of the first time a girl was the heroin and was strong and didn't take any crap from anyone. And there was always a character you could relate to. Unlike most people, I actually loved season 6, where everything went wrong and the bad guys were 3 idiots who didn't have a clue what they were doing. I really liked how it ended, with a bang.
So yes, Buffy has helped grow up a lot.
The X-Files
Mulder and Scully. Talk about a classic. This show has managed to be nightmare-giving scary, at times funny, intelligent and witty while having the most incomprehensible storyline ever. And the love story between these two was never one step forward three steps backward as we can see in shows right now. Most of the time it was understated, it was subtext and it was awesome. There were no boyfriend/girlfriend to drive crazy (they had aliens and goverment conspiracy for that). Some of the best monster ever.
In conclusion : a classic.
Friends
Because to this day, no show has me laughing my ass off like Friends. Even rewatching some old episodes I have seen a hundred times.There's really not much more to say about it.
Supernatural
So I almost forgot this one. Maybe because the last season really sucked. But that level of disapointment can only come from something you really loved to begin with. Why I loved this show so damn much? Because of Dean, and not simply because of the eyecandy (even though that's why I started watching). I don't know why, Dean strikes a chord with me it's not even funny. I love daddy!Winchester. But the best part about this show is I think the fandom where the love for these characters made them so much deeper. So there, oversight corrected.
I'm feeling guilty about a lot of other very good shows but it feels about right with these three four. Maybe tomorrow I'll think differently.
