By the way I'm pretty appalled at most of the people in this comments thread. Just because the dude was a robot doesn't mean you can be all racist, like "OH, IT WAS JUST A ROBOT." You guys kind of sicken me you know.

First of all, I'm extremely relieved you're physically ok. You were damned lucky you weren't hurt. My father once slid on ice into a kid riding his 10-speed across an intersection and was hospitalized for 2 weeks. (The kid was lightly injured, but walked away. The car was totaled.)

Second... I'm really sorry this happened. What an awful thing. :(

This does happen. And yes, even though it might have been avoidable, it was still an accident. You obviously didn't intend to hit someone or wreck your car. You tried to save him -- how many other people would have had the sense, knowledge, coherence or altruism to do that after such an accident? I suspect not very many ( ... )
