Things

It is very annoying to go grocery shopping while hungry. I take measures to avoid this, but it sometimes happens. Last night was one of these occasions. EVERYTHING in the store started looking good. Victoria and I began considering buying things we never buy. There was some frozen Chinese chicken (General Tso's and orange) we considered. Also some frozen burritos. We had the Chinese in our hands and thankfully looked at the cooking instructions. This told us everything we needed to snap us back to reality and realize what a mistake we were making. Next we picked up the burritos. With our common sense still intact we dropped the burritos, opting for real food from home as opposed to upset stomachs from frozen Mexican. We were lucky this time, but...

In a different topic we have been craving the 1812 overture after watching V for Vendetta a couple times. Excellent movie by the way. Very excellent. If you have not seen it, do so. Despite having a couple Tchaikovsky CD's the overture was not on either. Aggravating. We had planned on taking some duplicate books to Borders and buying ones we did not have so we picked up the overture as well. The nice thing about these classical CD's is that you can often pick up a recording for five or six bucks. I am waiting now for a good time to play it on my surround sound. It sounds fine in the car, but I can't wait for the crescendo in the good speakers in the house. Mmm, that will be lovely.
