Kind of hard to believe it's December already...
Well, I feel like it's about time for a new seasonal goals list.
I think I did decent on doing the things I wanted to in the Fall:
- started hanging out with people more,
- went apple picking for the first time ever,
- went to Blue Hills with my mom to see the leaves,
- had homemade grape juice and hot apple cider,
- Halloween was fun,
- been watching football.
- We didn't get to the marching band competition or football game but that's ok. We can go next year.
Most of my actual "goals" have kind of been put on hold, though:
- The gym is too expensive for me to join right now.
- I've been trying to get a job, but no luck yet.
- I took a step towards cleaning out my room... but now it's really cold up there and kind of overwhelming.
- And as for the camera... well, I kind of have enough money for it. My sister said she wanted to go shopping with me and she was going to contribute to it as her graduation gift for me, but they have been trying to save on money so I don't want to ask her to go right now.
- I DID however, complete that art project I wanted to do. yah! I have another one lined up and have done some planning towards it but haven't really started it, yet. I suppose I have time...
Anyway, for the winter:
- start going to church again
- do some community service
- try to find some work and make/save some money
- clean room
- reconnect with some people
- see my aunt and my grandpa more often
- hang out with my cousin
- fix sleep schedule!!
- create website
- start a new art project
- start writing some short stories and essay-type articles
- plan event
- go skiing
- bake/host a dinner
- Read: Crime and Punishment, a Terry Pratchett book, a book about Buddhism, a book in French
- write to Catherine (my host mom in France)
The top ones are things that I feel like I need to do to improve my life.
The middle are... well... I've been wanting to create different things lately but they've all felt too overwhelming for one reason or another. And I think doing those things will help me to take on the bigger tasks that I want to do in the future. It'll make them seem easier and, therefore, less overwhelming.
And the bottom are just things that I want to do. :OP
I think the start of a new season is a good time to create a goals list because it is long enough to accomplish something big but not so long that you feel like you have forever and eventually let it fall by the wayside. Anyway, the winter is a long and pretty uneventful season, so I figured it is ok to have a lot of goals. :O)
