So I handed in my first grad school application. 1 down and three more to go. Soon I will start the anxious phase of having to wait to hear back from the programs I apply to.

So, in order to avoid thinking about it, I've decided to read Book of Haikus written by Jack Kerouac, but put together two years ago. Here are some of my favourites so far:

The postman is late
- The toilet window
Is shining

All day long wearing
a hat that wasn't
On my head

The cow, taking a big
dreamy crap, turning
To look at me

Drunken deterioration -
ho-hum,
Shooting star

Coffee beans!
- Methinks I smell
The Canaries!
