Yesterday I knitted a baby bootie. The day before I ripped out half a baby bootie and started over. I will not make a matching baby bootie. Why? Well. The directions confused me. So I followed them the best I could. (all I can say is Thank God for instructional videos on the internet and my personal library of reference materials) I really think those directions are not quite right, but maybe if I really understood them, they are. The bootie is cute. I might try again with better yarn someday. I did experiment with a couple of new things so that makes me feel quite accomplished. a- kitchener stitch=way neat way to seam, really like doing this and definitely will do it again. b-pick up stitches vertically, ok, I think I can do this again! c-knitting stitches in the middle of the row only, now THIS was interesting! and it worked! so that is cool.
The moral of the story is this:
Don't be afraid to experiment and try new things.
