Making tough choices.....
One of my cowrokers recently married. He's a nice guy. I like him, and I hope he and his wife have a blissfully happy life together. Another coworker is going around asking for monetary contributions for a card/gift. Since the passage of Prop 8 and MN's definition of marriage being one man one woman with no recognition of same sex unions I just can't in good conscience participate in this. I'm not against marriage but I just am sick and tired that marriage has to be sanctioned as some sort of government contract and I'm grumpy about it. I can't enjoy this right so go play house on your own.
