Chips Ahoy

The Navy deployed my brother to the Mediterranian for 4 mos. All while knowing his health wasn't the best but trying to figure out every which way around that. And my brother went along because they'd already threatened him that, if they couldn't deploy him due to health reasons, they would seek to discharge him. Now, honorable discharge or not, that still amounts to kicking him out for something that's not his fault. Just because he can't be "fixed" overnight, they don't even want to bother using him in a capacity other than deployment. He's only got about 5 yrs. left before he can retire with his full pension and health insurance for himself, the wife, and the kids. If they let him go now, he's screwed. He's already been bypassed for several promotions due to racial tension on the base so, it's not like he's making anything near what he should. Anyhoo, they shipped him out a week ago. And now they're shipping him back! Oh, the irony! See, the doctor on board the ship is also a chief and, when he evaluated my brother, he wanted to know who the fuck put him up for sea duty! Apparently, he's nowhere near healthy enough to serve 4 months but any idiot with 2 eyes could've told them that. Then again, these are the stupid fucks who put "no allergies" in his chart when there's a list right next to it that lists everything he's allergic to and includes the fact that he has "chronic allergic rhinitis". Umm, hello, you can't have that unless you have allergies, you twats! But I digress. At first they thought they'd be able to keep him at least a month; that rapidly changed to a week as my brother is currently walking around the ship in support hose! *facepalm* Yet one of the many reasons I hate the military. So he's supposed to get getting back to Virginia (they moved) tomorrow but we'll see how it goes. I don't know how they could keep him.

The house they settled on is big. I'm talking BIG and I admit that I'm jealous of it. Because my 'rents have punched so much money in that direction while we still live in the ghetto. And I'm wondering when it'll be my turn to live nicely like that. *shrug* I'm not holding my breath though, lol. It is what it is.

My boss is asking me to do yet more stuff I don't get paid for. Will it ever end? I've amassed over a month of sick days and yet the union is hanging over our shoulders telling us when we can be sick. Are you kidding me? Can one even afford to care about this bs? Worry about it until it actually makes you ill? I can at least say that me and Staycey get on like a house on fire. She's totally the kind of girl I'd be friends with outside of work but, since I do work with her, I rather not go there. We just got another new girl named Gina and she's really nice as well. But guess who has to train her? Hmm, I guess I obtained supervisor duties when I wasn't looking. :(

I found one of my old bosses from BN, Randolph, on myspace! I was so excited because he was one of only 2 that I really vibed with. :) And he seemed so happy that I found him too. *warm fuzzies*

Chris had a girl's only "kink" party last weekend and lord knows that was a good time. Party favors like vibrating cockrings and vibrating rubber duckies. Good food, DDR, and a crazy amount of cake and booze. Jello shots that burned and a drink we dubbed "night of the living dead" (I'm talking 151 proof vodka). Good times, lol.

friends, work, myspace, family, military
