Motivational Splurge
I went to target today at lunch to see what I could spend my gift card on. I needed some splurge on me time. :)
At first I looked at purses, but none seemed like anything I would use. Then tops and pants, but again nothing. I was even going to be generous and split the card with the husband and get him a pair of jeans (he really needs some), but I wasn’t sure which ones he’d want….and in reality jeans are something you need to pick out yourself.
So after a bit of wandering I found myself in front of the workout clothes section (I think this was my subconscious working). I was standing right in front of the sports bras when I realized I desperately needed a new one. So I picked up one of the more expensive ones that is supposed to help pull the sweat away from your body (one that I wouldn’t normally buy - but I’m splurging so why not) and then remembered that I needed new tennis shoes as well. So I picked up a new pair of running shoes (for me they’re just walking shoes) too.
So my splurge was a good one and now I have no excuses not to get out and get moving.
