The Singapore Women's Cycling Team was established with the mission of improving the health and well-being of women and girls through physical fitness.
Specifically, we encourage women and girls to ride bicycles, improve their cycling, challenge themselves, take risks and become involved with the cycling community.
This site has been developed to:
Inform and educate women cyclists of all abilities
Sustain a women's road and off road cycling network
Enhance awareness of bicycles as a mode of transportation
Improve riding skills
Encourage growth in number of women's cycling events (rides, clinics, races)
Encourage participation of women in the sport of cycling (disciplines of road, track, cross-country and multi sport events)
We hope that regardless of your ability or experience in the sport, we can share with you our passion and love of cycling and give you an experience that you will always remember with a smile. Our top priority is to have Fun! Velo Pour la Vie. Absolutely SWCT. Cycling for Pleasure.
Sounds fun. If only I could fit it into my schedule. Naaah, that will never happen in abt uhhhh, 3 years. Eh, not bad ah.
And I called up the company to ask about the temporary job for students to prepare for THE boat race:
GUY: Hello
ME: Hello, I would like to find out more about the temporary job for students to prepare for the boat race.
GUY: Oh, we're looking for male students.
ME: (stunned) Oh.
GUY: Yeah.
and then, hangs up phone.
BASKET. It is THE boat race. THE international boat race and I can't have a part in it because I am not male. GAHHH. Must be logistics. But I love logistics (but not the planning) and all those carrying and fixing and uhh, sweaty stuff. Ask around (just not my family).
JCT is in two days time. And I am not done with Math and I have not touched Econs. JOY to the world. I am zee "genius". Genius of faliure.
Ahhhh... Nap time. (Yeah, can you believe it? I still can nap.)
