Ok so the guys I live with completed Crash Bandicoot on PS2, got bored of the lame fishing game and footy so they've now brought Dave's NES (Nintendo) back from the grave and started playign games such as:
SuperMario, Looney Toons and some other equally as dodgy-graphic games....good times!
It's nice having TV in the lounge at last, Simon has donated it for the cause! We've tuned it as much as we can so we have 4 channels, but it's mainly being used for video games. We've put the dodgy chest of drawers in the lounge now for the TV to go on top of as the table was an inconvinience. It also means we have storage space for all the old-skool consoles and games, ha. I'm thinking of plastering the lounge walls with posters/flyers/photos and the works to make it look more colourful and homely :)
INCUBUS SOLD OUT TODAY and I have VERY MISERABLE that i DID NOT get a ticket OR mailing list priority/a notification on the website FUCK! :( So if anyone would like to give me a ticket I will pay nicely, but BE REASONABLE please....I LOVE that band so so so so so soooo much.
GRRRRR.
In other news, we had our Journalism course social last night. My teacher whinged at me for missing the morning lessons, which made me go on to say about how unhappy I am with the course at the mo and generally feeling shit. But later I spoke to our new course leader and she seems really friendy/helpful so i'm going to arrange a meeting with her to discuss my options. I hate video production !! So boring.
We went on to a girl on my course's house party for a bit, then to indie-rock club Lennons, which was pretty fun considering I dont liek soem of the music they play. Alcohol was a great aid of course. Weds I went to Rhino aswell hich was cool but it's better when i'm there woitha group of friends rather than a drunken Garreth taking photos (i wasnt drinking to excess becasue of lectures)
ALSO, I'm starting up a new radio show this week on the uni radio show, I should be doing an acoustic show on Monday (basically getting acts in each week to play a few songs/interview/chat to them and play relevant tracks inbetween.) Gonna have to gather some acoustic, chill out and generally decent tunes together for that one hour slot. Then on Thursday there's another show called the 'eclectic hour' which I should be doing with my housemate Warwick and Chris, but they have been busy with uni and havent been trained in the studio yet so I may be doing that on my own, which I dont mind much at all. Means I get to choose my own songs and material to read out, from rock to dance, punk to acoustic, singer-songwriters to industrial madness. Anything and everything?
Im excited! I need to get it all togther really, the social side of uni and socities are the only thing i'm massively enjoying at the moment. keep me sane!
Love xxx
