I think Peter is actually the sexier character, which is not to say that Neal isn't chock full of goodness. Back to your DeKay exception/inclusion comment, I think the show works the way it does because of both of them, but if DeKay didn't sell the chemistry, this little series wouldn't have occurred to me.

Have to say that I just read a fic (ha! spellcheck tried to change that to 'fix') in this fandom for the first time (boy am I late to the game) and my version of the boys suddenly seems quite tame. Ahem!
